Description
Bust of a young woman in shepherd's clothing with her upper body slightly turned to the left. On her dark brown hair she wears a straw hat with a pink ribbon bow. Her bodice in blue with white puff sleeves is also decorated with pink ribbons on the sides of her shoulders. On the back of the painting there is an auction number by Hans W. Lange (73) and remains of an old label. Counterpart to BM00063/ST and BM00064/ST.
Provenance
Until January 1943 probably in unknown collection in Dresden. In the auction at Hans. W. Lange submitted from 27 to 29 January 1943 as lot no. 73 (cipher "22. Dresden"). Acquired there by the director of the Bomann Museum.
