Provenance
1852 creation of the painting by the artist Charles Hoguet. After that change of ownership of the painting by sale, donation or other legal act. Acquisition by Georg Hausmann (previous owner, deceased), J.F. Deiler, Ammerland, Lake Starnberg. 1943 sale J.F. Deiler for 14,000.- RM to the reconstruction of the castle Posen. 1945 Takeover and transport of the painting from the former salvage town Altaussee into the CCP Munich. Registration under the number Mü. 13178. There is no evidence of Nazi persecution-related asset loss. Because of the gaps in the provenance history, however, such is not completely ruled out.
