Description
The guard in Landsknecht costume, his face covered by a light red felt hat, sits on the ground with his legs drawn up; he wears a red doublet and red trousers. His chest, arms, hands and legs are armoured and he has a sword on his right hand. He rests his head on his right hand; a halberd lies across his shoulder. Landscape with individual groups of trees and a castle in the middle ground; wooded mountains behind. (according to inv.)
