Description
AN ARMORIAL ALBARELLO with orange and green wreath enclosing black scrolling foliate ornament on an orange ground, with a coat-of-arms in the lower part and a label inscribed " UNGOA ? GRATIA • DEI " in blue, the arms depict the bull of the Borgia, blue ribbon scrolls on the reverse, Deruta, circa 1505
Provenance

Munich, loss 1938;

The collection (approx. 440 works) was confiscated by the SS in Munich in 1938 on the occasion of the ‘Reichskristallnacht’ and auctioned at Sotheby's in London in 1939 (7/8 June and 19/20 July).
