Description
Three pieces of a chocolate service: chocolate can with gold-plated bronze mounting at the cover, tea caddy and cup with saucer. Relief-moulded garnish with dashed, purple mosaic between sticks, highlighted in gold. Inside smooth panels colourful painted landscapes with farmers, fishermen and girls taking a bath style of F. Zucarelli. The handle and cover of the tea caddy are luted. Mark of G (Gotzkowsky) inside the cover of the can; at cup and saucer marks of sceptres, tea caddy without mark. Berlin, 1764; a piece with date of the same service exists at the collection of ceramics of the porcelain manufacture of Berlin (vgl. Georg Lenz, Berliner Porzellan, Berlin 1913, Abb. 15).
