Panel painting: Picture: Scenes involving at least one anonymous historical person & death by the action of the natural environment; in particular by natural disasters : sea storm & mother and child(ren), woman and child(ren) (family group) & dune coast.
Provenance
Taken over in 1861 with the collection of Consul Wagener, acquired from the artist in 1836. Old permanent loan to the Altonaer Museum, Hamburg; destroyed there in the fire of May 1980.
