A CASTEL DURANTE PORTRAIT DISH ON FOOT, painted on a rich dark blue ground with a half length figure of St. Francis holding a cross, in grey habit, the hair, moustache and beard enriched with yellow, the hands and face in grisaille touched with blue, on a white ribbon scroll inscribed in blue "s. FRANCISEUS", the underside and hollow foot with a pink tinged glaze, a yellow border round the rim, circa 1525
