Description
The searched painting is not identical with the painting of the same name by Carl Blechen from the Sommerguth collection (1928-1935), which was last in the possession of the city of Cottbus/ Stiftung Fürst-Pückler-Museum Park und Schloss Branitz (1996 - restituted 2011).
Provenance
Unknown; acquired in 1915 as a forest didyll with the help of the Paul-Grosche-Stiftung. Since 1915 Städtische Bildersammlung; 1945 lost during circumstances of the war.
