Provenance
From the collection of duke Ernest II of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg (cf. 1826 inventory); at auction at Ball and Graupe/Berlin, no. 45, in 1932 (no acceptance); given on consignment to the art dealer Matthiesen/Berlin on September 28th 1936, probably sold (file 3425 II); whereabouts unknown.
