Affidavit by Hilda Ruschkewitz dated 28 October 1954: "Paula Modersohn-Becker was represented with a child's painting in oil, which was painted on both sides."

Collection Graetz, Berlin (this can be seen in the confirmation of receipt from the Nationalgalerie dated 20 March 1928 and the certificate of return dated 27 September 1928 (cf. SMB-PK, ZA, I/NG 719, sheet 169); Robert Graetz's stepson, Werner Haas, born on 25 October 1925, confirmed in October 2020 that the painting hung in his childhood room, where he lived from April 1934 to August 1939; [...]; whereabouts: probably Hamburger Kunsthalle
