Description
Half-length portrait, en face, the head slightly turned to the left, with full redish blond hair and a small black cap. He's waering a shirt, that is knitted at the collar, and a massy necklace, above a jerkin of red velvet, covered by a dark oliv-green overcoat with a wide furred collar. His hands holding a rosary with big golden pearls. Frame-alike window alcove with golden festoons and the date of 1515 at the pendentives. At left thumb a seal ring with emblem and the initials H. P. Light blue background. Br. frame. At backside old, stuck hand-written note of the 17th century about the portraited one and emblem seal of Baron of Aretin. The portrait belongs to four well-known other pictures of the Bavarian Nationalmuseum of a serie of six of those, have been painted by a master for Philipp von Freising in 1515.
