Sam[uel] van Hoogstraaten

Belonged to claimants’ parents who fled from Berlin to Amsterdam in 1939; upon emigration to US in 1942, the family left 10 cases of property, including artwork, at H. Hoogewerff Jun. & Co. in Amsterdam in the care of claimant’s father’s secretary, Mr. W. Vandelft. The property was never retrieved. The further circumstances of the theft are unknown.
