Description
Right along a river a way goes through high trees, passing an open yard gate and a stone bridge. Behind that, between trees a houses with roof of bricks. On the left: view on a flat landscape with trees and mill. Staffage. At waterside two boats. Moved, cloudy sky. Signed at left bottom: V. Ruisdael. Golden frame. Note at backside: Auction Königswarter Berlin and seal with emblem of a baron. Appeared first time in 1795: London, auction of famous collection Charles Alexandre de Calonne, French prime ministre.
