Description
With gold-plated bronze. Frontside flanked by two pilasters with segmentations of pilasters above a pedestal, that is separated in nine panels decorated with meanders, griffins, laurel garlands and bead lines. The friezes with laurel garlands and rosettes. Case-shaped upper part on steps with carved acroterions and three with palmettes and garlands decorated fillings. Inside an structure of round arcades with columns and mirrors. At table top green "Maroquin"-leather that is stamped with plenty of golden ornaments, in style of Wilhelm Voigt. Berlin, around 1825. Probably refering to a draft of Carl Friedrich Schinkel. Property of Prince Waldemar of Prussia (comp. H. Schmitz: „Deutsche Möbel des Klassizismus“, Stuttgart 1923, S. XXXIV and picture p. 182).
