Description
Made of gold-plated copper. Shape of a monstrance. The flat, round clockwork with a small round and open-worked hutch at top is carried by an Atlas, that crouchs on a moulded, openworked pedestal. At backside of clockwork the dial of a calender, the circle of years consists of the dates 1580 until 1611, surrounded by plenty ornaments. The body of the case at the pedestal decorated with ornaments and strapwork. Black wooden plinth. German, around 1580. Literature: Auktionskatalog Hans W.
