Description
Pressed ball-shape with sloping shoulder, bulbous mouth, curved spout growing from grotesque mask and round ear handle with leaf motifs. The convex cover with flat rim and pointed mushroom knob. On both sides of the outside golden contoured quatrefoil with lustre fields and light brown shaded iron red foliage. In the picture fields colorful chinoiseries: a) Chinese and two women, sitting outside at a green-covered table, with a dinner bowl, cup, drinking bowl and spoons. The robes are in grayish purple, purple and iron red; the sky is gray-blue cloudy with reddish spots, flocks of birds and green butterfly; b) Chinese sitting at the table in front of an arbour, to whom a servant presents dishes on a bowl. On the table with a blanket in striped purple chandelier all kinds of crockery, utensils and serving knives. The robes in patterned purple violet and striped iron red. The cloudy sky is gray-blue with yellow spots and flocks of birds. At the spout, on the back of the handle, under the base of the handle and the mask Indian flowers in iron red, purple-violet and green, on the remaining surface flying insects. Golden ornamental border on the neck. Throat, ring stand and mouth of the spout gilded. On the cover a revolving colorful frieze with a kneeling Chinese man and a sitting Chinese woman on a brown-green strip of lawn with flower bushes. The cloudy sky is gray-blue with yellow dots and flying birds. Edge and mushroom knob gilded. [...] Mark K.P.M.
