Description
a pair; the bulbous body of the vase sits on a rectangular, convex foot and rises elegantly to a long, narrow neck. Two opposite sides of the neck are decorated with prunus twigs with blossoms and buds. The neck has a hint of eyelets and two scroll-like ornaments protruding from the neck. The medium-hard body of grey-red colour is covered with a leaf-green lead oxide glaze. The glaze is almost completely iridescent silver due to storage in moist earth. Flowers, scroll ornaments and vase rim in yellowish glaze.

acquired by Perzynski for Ginsberg in Peking in 1926; 1926 - 1942 Ostasiatica Collection Herbert Ginsberg, Berlin; in 1942 large parts of the Ginsberg Collection in Rotterdam were confiscated by the Sicherheitsdienst (SD); whereabouts unknown
