Description
The half-figure of an angel carrying a coat of arms grows out of a frizzy band of clouds. He wears the Alba of the deacon. Incarnate brownish, brown hair, gray clouds, black coat of arms.
The boyish figure dressed in an albe grows out of a cloudy space. It is wearing a shield with a patrician's coat, which is no longer recognizable today. Once it possessed wings and served as a keystone. Thus she adorned the net vault of the Passau Town Hall, completed in 1446. Reduction of physicality and strong stylization of the face and hairiness reflect the continuing influence of Burgundian sculpture of the time around 1400.
