Description
Goblet-shaped bowl with shallow bottom made of bright yellow onyx. A kneeling fugure of Neptune on an arched plate of waves his holding silver-gilt mounted bottom. Three little seahorses around Neptune. The plate of waves is resting on three peaked shells. A shallow cambared cover with plain rim and embossery: Triton with two Nereids between sea creatures. At middle of the cover a nodular knob, that is covered with curled leaves with a coral on top. Mark: At cover, hall mark W Breslau R.1365, masters sign HS inside an oval, this kind not at R or at Hintze, maybe Hans Strich 1582 - 1616
