Description
In front of the Porta Capuana, on the left, a tavern, in front of which guests are sitting. On the half-left, behind a table with a white cover, a pizza seller serving a young girl. People and donkey carts stream through the gate. On the right, multi-storey houses with shops on the ground floor. In the background a church dome, in the front left a tree under which an old man is sitting.
Inscribed at lower left: R. Alt.
Verso: handwritten on the stretcher: "Rudolf Alt, Wien, Porta Capuana Neapel".
