Description

Glass goblet from the Dresdner Glashütte with curved body. The large coat of arms of the Dukes of Holstein, engraved on the body. The foot and lid are covered with tendrils. The glass was probably made for Carl Ludwig von Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck, who lived in Dresden until 1733.

Provenance

Until May 1945, the object was located in the Dresden City Hall (seat of the Dresden City Museum). It was stored there together with the other handicraft exhibits of the museum - packed in boxes - in the cellar. Lost since the end of the war.
