Object Name: Torah finials
Subject: Finials
Hebrew inscription on the middle section of both finials mentions that when Zvi Elimelech, son of Reizl, was in Jerusalem in 1907, he bought the finials for his son, Shimeh, son of Rivka. A later inscription, made by the son on the stem of the finial on the right, mentions that Shimeh donated the finials in memory of his mother, Rivka, daughter of Shmuel; in the inscription he thanks his father and mourns the destruction of Jerusalem. An inscription on the stem of the finial on the left refers to Jerusalem and the destruction of the Temple.
