Beschreibung
A VERY FINE CASTEL DURANTE ARMORIAL DISH, by Nicola Pellipario, painted in the sunk centre with the impaled arms of Gian Francesco Gonzaga, Marquis of Mantua, and Isabella d'Este, supported by putti and with a scroll of music below, the sides with Apollo and Pan and numerous other figures flanked by trees with pendant shields, within a yellow border round the rim and another round the foot, which is picked out in dots with a collector's initials, circa 1520, brilliant state
